EDF Report Summary

Globally, nearly a third of fish populations are in trouble, and half produce less food, employment, economic value, and biodiversity than they could. Overfishing, perpetuated by poor management of the world's fisheries, is the top culprit. To paint a more positive future of the world's oceans, EDF and partners teamed up to develop academic research that gives a holistic view of the potential benefits to be gained form the oceans, if sustainable fishing becomes the norm. I designed a report based on their research, bringing the data and story to life through graphics and vivid fishing photos. More than 300 copies of the report were distributed to policymakers, academics, economists and other influential oceans industry professionals at The Economist's World Oceans Summit in Lisbon, Portugal.
